This research is descriptive-survey in terms of research method (standard questionnaire) and applied in terms of purpose. The statistical population of this study consists of all students of Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman, who number more than 14,000 people, and sampling was done randomly (from students of each faculty). The reliability of the aforementioned questionnaire was estimated at 0.902 and its validity was also proven by experts and professors. A total of 395 responses were collected through a face-to-face survey and then analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. SPSS 24 and PLS 3 software were used to analyze the data. Our results showed that the cost-of-living crisis affects students' improper diet. Also, students' poor diet has a significant effect on their financial planning, store discounts, energy-saving equipment, food planning, and discretion in how they consume. Finally, financial planning, store discounts, energy-saving equipment, food planning, and discretion in how they consume have a significant effect on the quality of their diet.
