Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Peer reviewers play a vital and essential role in the peer review process. Our journal requests that all reviewers adhere to a set of fundamental principles and standards during the peer-review process in research publication; these are outlined below. These conditions are based on the Committee on Publication Ethics Ethical guidelines for Peer Reviewers, which also provides further information on how to be objective and constructive in your review.

All manuscripts are confidential. They are peer-reviewed by at least two anonymous reviewers selected by the Editorial Board. The corresponding author is notified as soon as possible of the editor's decision to accept, reject, or require modifications. If the manuscript is completely acceptable according to the criteria set forth in these instructions, it is scheduled for the next available issue. Editor-In-Chief will make the final decision, based on reviewer’s comments. JOEM utilizes a double-blind peer-review process.
