Abstract

Concept of the physical and human capital vulnerabilities during the hazard in metropolitans is one of the most important issues that have been taken into account in much research, especially the passive defense. This study provides a model for zoning the degree of urban vulnerability due to military attack. In the preliminary stage, the framework of the effective indicators of the degree of urban vulnerability against due to attack has been obtained by DEMATEL method then with the help of this, the weight of each indicator obtained with (ANP) process. Considering effective factors, user interface (SSP Modeler) based on sorting of alternatives by similarity to profile in ArcGis software environments designed for the spatial modeling of the vulnerability of Ahvaz due to military attack and the degree of vulnerability of the research case study area in the different zones has been recognized automatically. The results showed that only one percent of the Ahwaz area achieved limited and very low vulnerability, 41 percents have low vulnerability; 56 percents high vulnerability and two percents have been recognized totally vulnerable. Adapting the zones that have very high vulnerability with the effective factors against air and missile attacks in Ahvaz shows the accuracy of the provided model.
