Abstract
Transportation routes, like railway systems, are the most important infrastructures in­ each country. Railway stations are the most important nodes in railway systems, conveying passengers and cargoes. Their functions are vital for the society economics. To keep these structures safe at any threats, military or terrorist attacks, we need to know what the vulnerabilities are. The main aim of this paper is to analyze the risk and vulnerability of these railway station’s parts of the SVA method, preparing solutions to deal with man-made threats from military and terrorist attacks. This paper is a practical research, gathering data from journals, field research and questionnaires analyzing these data in SVA model in which railway stations are the main part. The analyzing steps include: risk assessment, property characteristics and counteractions.
